Lake Champlain Cardiology Associates is pleased to report that the American College of Cardiology has developed a superb new website for the public called CardioSmart. Go to www.cardiosmart.org for a wealth of information and answers to many questions about almost any cardiac related problem. There are sections on the latest advances in research, on the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases, an extensive library of information about heart disease, cardiac tests, and treatments, up to date guidelines for the treatment of cardiac problems, such as atrial fibrillation and acute myocardial infarction (heart attack), a “CardioSmart” quiz to test your knowledge, and an “Ask the Cardiologist” section allowing people to submit questions electronically to an expert cardiologist (they don’t promise that every question will be answered).

The website is written in language that everyone can understand, and the site is easy too navigate. You can even subscribe to receive CardioSmart updates by e-mail. And it’s all free.
