- Some heart attacks are sudden and intense but most start slowly, with mild pain, discomfort, burning, heaviness or nausea.
Signs of a Heart Attack
- Pressure, squeezing, fullness or pain in the center of your chest, back, neck, jaw, stomach, or arms.
- May last more than a few minutes or go away and come back.
- Shortness of breath
- Sweating, nausea or lightheadedness
Signs of a Stroke
- Sudden weakness or numbness in face, arm or leg, especially on one side of your body
- Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
- Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
- Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
- Sudden, severe headache
